Why Choose Cherry Pit
Onboard Cherry Pit, we see to it that you’re always involved in the fishing action. We will not just be luring marlin all day as most charter boats in the Kona Harbor do, since fishing marlin can be monotonous and requires a thorough understanding of the concept. We use live bait for the best odds to catch trophy ahi or mahi-mahi. There are many days where it’s possible not to catch any fish if live bait isn’t utilized.
Fish Policy
Capt. Bobby Cherry does his best to get the fish his clients want during the trip and share the catches with them. He usually makes fillets out of mahi-mahi, ono, and small tuna. Please be advised that while you have a share of the catch, the bigger tuna and fish over 40 pounds will stay with our captain, which is part of how we are able to offer such competitive rates.
